Web of Family Ties Can Inspire College Donations, Study Finds

In a study of alumni giving, two economists found that an array of family connections to a college can trigger years of generosity. The report could complicate the debate over legacy preferences in college admissions.

That is a true thing as my grandfather and great grandfather has relation to a more that 150 years old college so my father is continuing the tradition of donations.
